PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, THAT THE TOWN OF LISBON (OWNER) INTENDS TO BUILD

THE NEW FIRE HEADQUARTERS LOCATED IN THE TOWN OF LISBON, CT AND IS

SEEKING SEALED BIDS FOR GENERAL CONSTRUCTION. THIS PROJECT WILL BE BID

AS A SINGLE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT AND ALL COORDINATION OF WORK WILL

BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE GENERAL CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTOR (GCC)

SELECTED FOR THE PROJECT. PURSUANT TO C.G.S. SEC. 31-53, THIS PROJECT MUST

FOLLOW ALL APPLICABLE PREVAILING WAGE REQUIREMENTS.

Sealed bids will be received at the Office of the Lisbon First Selectman, Lisbon Town Hall, 1

Newent Road, Lisbon, CT 06351 until 10:00 a.m. local time, on Tuesday, December 27th,

2022 at which time they will be publically opened and read aloud. All bids must be submitted

in a sealed envelope bearing the bidder's name and the bid name. The Owner will award the bid

following a specially scheduled Meeting of the Fire Station Building Committee and the Board

of Selectmen.

Each sealed enclosure containing a bid is to be endorsed on the outside with the name, address

and telephone number of the bidder and is to state that it contains a bid for the New Fire

Headquarters, Town of Lisbon, CT.

Bid security in the form of a 5% bid bond issued by an acceptable surety or a certified check

payable to the Town of Lisbon is required.

Bids must be in accordance with the terms, conditions, specifications and other procurement

documents for the project and must remain good for ninety (90) days. Copies of such terms,

conditions, specifications and other documents may be obtained from Minuteman Press, 595 W.

Main Street, Norwich, CT 06360 (860-887-7468), Attn: Steve Weber, during operating hours

and commencing on Wednesday, November 30th, 2022. A non-refundable fee is required for

each set of bid documents; contact printer for cost. If the contractor wishes to have the bid

documents shipped, an additional fee would apply; call printer for cost.

The successful bidder will be required to provide both a performance bond and a labor/material

payment bond issued by acceptable sureties and to enter into a written contract with the Town

of Lisbon. A copy of the form of contract is included with the bid documents.

Award of the proposal is subject to the approval of the Town of Lisbon which reserves the right

to reject any or all proposals, in whole or in part, to award any item, group of items, or total

proposal, and to waive any formality in the proposals received if it deems it to be in the best

interest of the Town to do so.

All proposals, materials, documents, etc., submitted in conjunction with the selection process

shall become the property of the Town and may be disposed of without notification and shall be

considered public information.

All Bidders must be on the official plan holder list maintained at www.lisbonctplans.com. This

will ensure that all Bidders are working off the most accurate and complete bid specifications

from the Town. It will also ensure that all bidders are notified of any addenda that are posted.

Bidders are invited to examine existing conditions at the project site at their discretion. There

will be no formal pre-bid meeting held at the project site.
